Yes, it’s a big deal!

Thanks to Trey Burton, the Walter Payton Award nominee for the Chicago Bears, the Bears and the NFL, Azariah was given two tickets and the all-expenses paid trip to the Super Bowl.

For Azariah, this is a trip of a life time. For her grandmother, Vivian Mosby, it’s pretty cool, too. But for Grandma, it’s even cooler what has happened to her granddaughter since she started attending By The Hand Club For Kids in 2013.

Azariah started attending By the Hand Club For Kids in Austin after school for tutoring and life counseling and in several years her grades improved to a 3.72 GPA. As a result, By The Hand, Trey Burton and the Chicago Bears awarded Azariah with a trip to the Super Bowl.

“We are very grateful to Trey Burton, the Bears, and the NFL for making all of this possible,” said Ms. Donnita Travis, founder of By The Hand. “But, we are just as thankful for what has happened to Azariah and the progress she has made in school and her life.”

By The Hand is a Chicago-based, after-school program that takes kids by the hand and walks with them through college, helping them have abundant life—mind, body and soul.

“Our kids are the solution to Chicago’s greatest needs. It’s organizations like the Chicago Bears and NFL that are making it possible for them to have abundant life,” said Ms. Susannah Schwarcz Yount, By The Hand Senior Director of Fund Development.
