175 CPS students from Austin kick off Christmas with a festive night of shopping, dining and sight-seeing
This week, FOX32 Chicago joined us as we brought 175 students from By The Hand Club in Austin downtown for our annual ‘Christmas in the City’ celebration. Now in its 22nd year, Christmas in the City is a favorite holiday tradition, enabling our youth to experience a festive evening in downtown Chicago during the holidays. By The Hand Club coordinates travel for students (and their families), provides gift cards to a local restaurant, and gives students an American Express gift card so they shop for family and friends (or themselves). The joy of this evening is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season!
