Austin Harvest partners with Beyond Hunger to feed neighbors in need
Every month, dozens of older residents in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood open their doors to a box filled with fresh, healthy food—and a reminder that they are people in their community who care. These produce deliveries are made possible through the partnership between the youth-led fresh market Austin Harvest and Beyond Hunger. Each week, extra produce from Austin Harvest is donated, packed and delivered straight to the homes of older adults—reducing food insecurity and ensuring no produce goes to waste.
