Fourth-grade Sofia didn’t know much about God before starting at By The Hand. She questioned if He was real and felt indifferent about including Him into her life. But once she began attending By The Hand—North Austin, her heart shifted.
She reflects, “My heart warmed when I got here.” She was quickly swept up into God’s story while learning from the Bible, participating in devotionals and watching others pray. Sofia realized that this was for her, too.
She began to feel changes within her own heart. “I used to be at a low point. I didn’t always care about what was right. But now, I’m like, ‘Whoa, God did all this for me!’” Sofia is growing in her patience and discernment. She’s become a prayer warrior who extends kindness and love to her friends through her prayers. Sofia loves God with her whole heart and wants others to know that they’ll feel better if they build their relationship with Him.
