Ta’Liya
Third Grade—Moving EverestWhen Ta’Liya first started with By The Hand, she was withdrawn and shy. She rarely smiled. Sadly, Ta’Liya’s demeanor affected her ability to participate in the classroom and engage with her peers.
Our staff noticed that she was struggling. That’s when they began to pray for Ta’Liya. Soon after, God sparked a transformation in her heart. Without any prompting, Ta’Liya asked how she could have a better attitude! Her team leader took time to discuss a few ways Ta’Liya could improve her attitude, and Ta’Liya has taken it to heart! Now she smiles, laughs, and participates regularly at By The Hand! She not only asks her teacher if she can help, Ta’Liya also takes it upon herself to persuade her classmates to choose better behavior and a better attitude.
Ta’Liya now knows the power of a new attitude has dramatic influence upon her and her friends at By The Hand! Our students, like Ta’Liya, are the ones making a difference. But, they need you.
