See Your Impact From Giving
Students ended the year with an average growth of .91 years on our Blended Learning platform called Lexia. Our students we able to see exceptional growth this year at school due to the time spent on their reading abilities.
At By The Hand 87 percent of students are passing their classes. We owe this success to the 66,498 of hours spent in homework help. We are grateful for the volunteers, mentors, and teachers that help our students with their assignments.
Currently 65% of By The Hand students have all ABC’s and the average GPA for students is 2.52. All students this year who passed their classes with ABC’s were able to attend a special celebration at Six Flags because of their accomplishment!
When Paityn first enrolled in By The Hand, she loved everything about the program with the exception of Blended Learning (Lexia). Paityn was behind grade-level and was at risk for not passing the first grade. Paityn was frustrated with her results on Lexia at first, but with her parents encouragement she continued to work hard on her reading score.
By the end of the year Paityn was reading at grade level!
Before the end of the school year Paityn’s dad came and personally thanked By The Hand staff for helping his daughter. He told us that Paityn was once again on grade level and will now be able to attend the second grade this fall. Paityn now enjoys Blended Learning because it has given her the ability to become a better reader. Thank you for supporting Lexia and students like Paityn.
