Welcome Kit

LEARN MORE

This year, 506 welcome kits have been given to our kindergarten through sixth-grade students by their spiritual development specialist (SDS) on their first day of club. These kits provide a new Bible, a welcome bookmark, and the Hope for Kids Evangelism Explosion (EE) workbook. Thanks to the welcome kits and the EE class, 163 students made professions of faith in Jesus as their Savior. Praise God!

Explosion (EE)

LEARN MORE

This year, 907 of our students in kindergarten through sixth grade have completed the Hope for Kids’ EE classes. In these classes they heard the gospel, memorized key Scripture verses and learned how to share their faith with others. As a result of these classes, and the efforts of the spiritual development specialists, 163 students have made professions of faith in Jesus as their Savior. A very encouraging start to the year!

Chapel and
Bible Study

LEARN MORE

We have a spiritual development specialist (SDS) at each of our five sites that plan chapel and Bible study curricula, teach lessons, and coach team leaders how to teach and disciple students and staff.

Chapel meets up to four times a week and our Bible study groups meet up to three times a week to help students go into greater detail on a topic introduced in chapel. The curriculum at each site is planned for the entire school year and its designed to engage our kids at their level.

We are especially excited about the new Museum of the Bible (MOTB) curriculum, an interactive iPad Bible curriculum which our seventh- through twelfth-grade students were able to pilot test for MOTB last year. This year, we have 30 students involved in the curriculum.

JACOB’S STORY

Jacob joined By The Hand this year because he had fallen behind in school, largely due to poor behavior. In recent months, however, Jacob has come alive in his Bible study, asking big questions and seeking difficult answers. The study has awakened a curiosity in Jacob, one that has increased his engagement at By The Hand and even led him to church on Sunday mornings.

Following the Easter message, Jacob learned that God brought Jesus back to life so that we too can be given a new life. What a powerful message! There is no greater truth to share with our kids. We praise God for the transformation that is happening in Jacob’s life. Thank you for partnering with us in this life changing mission.
